Pracheta Sharma – Chief Communications Officer

Pracheta Sharma is a journalist by training, but an educator by heart. Her work as a video storyteller has taken her across borders. In 2009, she graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City, with a specialization in documentary filmmaking. She has worked as a multimedia journalist for 6 years, on a diverse range of assignments that includes the Wall Street Journal, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Women in the World Summit and Teach For Nepal.

In 2012, she made a career switch that changed her course as a storyteller. She joined the Teach For India Fellowship. That led her to a world that was full of extraordinary stories of courage and hope. The Fellowship also inspired her to be a part of rewriting the story about education inequity in India. In 2015, she joined Simple Education Foundation to do her bit in strengthening the movement of education equity in India.
